Ripple Fiber has completed a $20 million fiber-optic network expansion across North Carolina’s Outer Banks. The project extends high-speed fiber internet service to more than 20,000 homes and businesses in Kitty Hawk, Southern Shores, Duck, Kill Devil Hills, and Corolla.

Construction began in late 2023, and the first customers were connected in January 2024. With the completion of the initial buildout, Ripple Fiber plans to expand service into additional areas of Corolla, including multi-dwelling developments and private communities. The fiber network is designed to support residential and commercial broadband demand, including remote work, online learning, streaming, and connected home applications.
