The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has identified apparent low bidders for 21 infrastructure projects statewide, totaling approximately $90.9 million. The bids, received in May from 16 contractors, span bridge replacements, roadway improvements, and safety enhancements across multiple parishes.
Bridge Replacement and Repair:
- DOTD will replace bridges on Red Cut Road and Charles Rawls Road in Ouachita Parish ($2.45 million) and on Crawford Road over Tiger Branch in Caddo Parish ($1.28 million).
Pavement and Overlay Projects:
- Significant resurfacing projects include:
- $17.99 million for U.S. 90 in Iberia Parish
- $16.76 million for I-10 in Orleans Parish
- $6.97 million for LA 343 in St. Landry Parish
- $6.32 million for Roosevelt Boulevard in Jefferson Parish
- $6.21 million for U.S. 165 in Rapides Parish
Congestion Mitigation and Safety:
- DOTD awarded contracts for:
- Pavement markings and striping on I-10, I-20, and I-12 corridors
- Exit modifications on I-210 in Calcasieu Parish
- Safety improvements at intersections in St. Tammany and Tangipahoa parishes
Other Improvements:
- A $98,500 contract will deliver new sidewalks and curb ramps along the St. Patrick Bridge on LA 1 and LA 20 in Lafourche Parish.
