General Motors, Pilot Company, and EVgo have surpassed 200 electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging locations nationwide. The partnership, launched in 2022, has installed nearly 850 charging stalls across almost 40 states, with many located at Pilot and Flying J travel centers.

Recent expansions added stations in Colorado, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The network also continues to grow in Texas, Missouri, and Florida. Many of the new stations offer charging speeds up to 350 kW, Plug & Charge payment capability, free Wi-Fi, and on-site dining and convenience services.

The initiative focuses on interstate routes that carry more than 20% of U.S. traffic, with a goal of building 500 sites and 2,000 stalls nationwide. By the end of 2025, the companies expect to reach 1,000 stalls. Pilot noted that fewer than half of rural U.S. counties had even one fast charger at the beginning of this year, making rural deployment a priority.

The project has also received $15 million in support from the federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program.
