Electrify America has opened its first electric vehicle charging station in Santa Monica, California. The facility includes 20 Hyper-Fast chargers rated up to 350 kilowatts, enabling compatible vehicles to add about 20 miles of driving range per minute.
Located at 1802 Santa Monica Boulevard near the I-10 freeway, the station operates 24/7 and is equipped with on-site security cameras. Energy supplied through Electrify America’s Hyper-Fast network is backed by renewable energy certificates.
The Santa Monica installation is one of several large-scale sites under development in California, including recent openings in San Francisco and San Diego.Electrify America reported delivering more than 16 million charging sessions and over 600 gigawatt-hours of energy in 2024, a 65 percent increase from the prior year.
