Zachry Construction Corporation has advanced work on the Central Regional Wastewater System (CRWS) Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide Containment Building project for the Trinity River Authority of Texas (TRA) in Dallas.

The approximately $108 million project will modernize wastewater treatment infrastructure at the CRWS facility through new containment, utility, and systems upgrades. The scope includes demolition of existing structures and equipment, modifications to existing facilities, and construction of new operational infrastructure across the treatment plant site.

The company will construct a new chlorine and sulfur dioxide containment building, a supplemental chlorine storage building, pump stations, and related site improvements. Additional work includes grading, paving, stormwater drainage, piping, drain and stormwater systems, and electrical upgrades.

TRA authorized the contract in December 2025. Construction is underway, with project completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2029. The upgrades aim to strengthen treatment plant reliability, improve operational safety, and support long-term wastewater service capacity in the Dallas region.
