Wyoming Transportation Commission approved contracts totalling nearly $37.6 million for nine construction projects

The Wyoming Transportation Commission approved contracts totalling nearly $37.6 million for nine construction projects by the Wyoming Department of Transportation during its meeting on January 16.

Worland-based McGarvin-Moberly Construction Co. secured a $9.7 million contract for an overlay and bridge rehabilitation project on 12 miles of Wyoming Highway 220 between Muddy Gap and Casper in Carbon County. This project involves asphalt paving, chip sealing, traffic control, and structural repairs, with a completion date set for June 30, 2026.

Reiman Corp., located in Cheyenne, received two bridge rehabilitation contracts. The first, valued at $7.79 million, includes structural work, traffic control, asphalt paving, and guardrail installation in Converse, Goshen, Johnson, Natrona, and Niobrara Counties. This project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2026. The second contract, worth over $1.06 million, entails similar work in Sweetwater and Laramie Counties, with a completion date of October 31, 2025.

Idaho-based H-K Contractors Inc. was awarded a $5.99 million contract for an overlay and isolated reconstruction project on 5.2 miles of US Highway 26/US Highway 287 between Moran Junction and west Dubois in Fremont County. This project, which includes asphalt paving, grading, aggregate surfacing, traffic control, chip sealing, and milling, is scheduled for completion by August 31, 2026.

Wilson Bros. Construction Inc., based in Cowley, secured a $3.57 million contract for erosion control on a one-mile stretch of Wyoming Highway 14/16/20 between Yellowstone National Park and Cody in Park County. The work, which involves seeding, grading, guardrail installation, and traffic control, is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025.

Minnesota-based Bituminous Paving Inc. received a $1.98 million contract for chip sealing, traffic control, and pavement striping in Converse, Johnson, and Natrona Counties, with an anticipated completion date of August 31, 2025.

Lovell-based Mountain Construction Company will build a right-turn deceleration lane on US Highway 14A between Cody and Powell in Park County under an $820,781 contract. This project includes paving, fencing, stormwater drainage, and signage and is set for completion by June 30, 2025.

Utah-based Intermountain Slurry Seal was awarded a $3.31 million contract for chip sealing and asphalt paving in Big Horn, Fremont, Hot Springs, and Park Counties. Primarily funded by state dollars, this project is expected to conclude by August 31, 2025.

Rock Springs-based Kilgore Companies, doing business as Lewis & Lewis Inc., received a $3.37 million contract for patching work in Lincoln, Sweetwater, and Uinta Counties. This project involves asphalt paving, milling, and traffic control, with completion expected by October 31, 2025.
