Wallenius Wilhelmsen has opened a new integrated terminal facility in Brunswick, Georgia, under a 20-year lease agreement with the Georgia Ports Authority. The site includes a terminal, Equipment Processing Center (EPC), and Vehicle Processing Center (VPC), with options to extend the lease up to 30 years.
The Brunswick terminal will serve as the company’s South Atlantic hub, supporting both international and domestic vehicle logistics. The project was delivered through a long-term lease model rather than a traditional construction contract and was developed in partnership with the Georgia Ports Authority, which owns the Port of Brunswick.
Construction covered 300 acres at Colonel’s Island and included five processing buildings, a dockside VPC, and a 95,000-square-foot EPC housing the North American Customization Plant. The facility supports equipment assembly, customization, and inspection, and includes 29 EV chargers and plans for 42 electric forklifts.
