The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has announced 180 new infrastructure grants, totalling over USD3.2 billion, for projects across the country.

A significant portion of the funding, USD497.4 million, is allocated to various bus programs. These programs include initiatives for zero-emission paratransit buses, upgrades to charging infrastructure, bus rehabilitation and fleet expansions, conversions to battery-electric buses, and the purchase of hydrogen fuel cell electric buses.

Other key grant allocations include USD550 million for Alabama’s I-10 Bridge project, USD279 million for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), USD1.4 billion for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and USD282.4 million for projects managed by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
