Jackson Regional Airport will receive $10 million through Tennessee’s FY25–26 state budget to build new aviation infrastructure supporting corporate and general aviation across West Tennessee. The grant will fund two corporate hangars with apron space, taxi lane access, and road and parking improvements—expanding the airport’s ability to serve both charter and general aviation users. A new T-hangar for general aviation is also planned, with room for future expansion.

The airport expects the upgrades to strengthen its capacity to serve charter aircraft and attract aviation-related businesses. The expansion will increase the airport’s ability to serve both corporate and general aviation needs. Nearly $7 million will go toward site infrastructure for the corporate hangars and preparing five additional pads for private development. The airport plans to offer 40-year leases to companies that will finance and build their own hangars, which will revert to public ownership at the end of the term—creating a long-term public-private model.

Construction will proceed in line with the state’s budget schedule.
