The Spokane Transit Authority (STA) board has adopted its 2026-2031 Transit Development Plan (TDP). The resolution approves both the Capital Improvement Program and Service Improvement Program outlined within the plan.
Key highlights from the adopted TDP include the delivery of the first phase of the Division Street bus rapid transit (BRT) between downtown Spokane and Hastings Park & Ride. STA will also undertake construction of the Argonne Station Park & Ride, which will be followed by service revisions in Spokane Valley to extend transit service into new areas. Additionally, the plan calls for more charging infrastructure to support battery-electric buses and the design and construction of a new clean energy campus, preparing STA for its next phase of transitioning to a zero-emission fleet.
