Los Angeles World Airports awarded an additional $445 million contract to a Skanska–FlatironDragados joint venture to expand roadway improvements at Los Angeles International Airport. The work falls under the airport’s Airfield and Terminal Modernization Program.

The project will reconfigure more than six kilometers of airport roadways. Crews will rebuild ramps and bridges, upgrade intersections, and modernize traffic signals. The scope also includes traffic monitoring systems, lighting, signage, utilities, and related infrastructure.

The award adds to a $323 million contract the joint venture received in September 2025. The combined contract value now totals $868 million. The work covers roadway reconstruction near terminals and along Sepulveda Boulevard to separate airport traffic from local traffic.

Los Angeles World Airports is funding the project through its capital improvement program, which totals approximately $30 billion. The agency is managing design and construction activities.

Construction began in July 2025. The project team expects completion in the fourth quarter of 2030.
