The City of Porterville, California, has finished a $1.6 million project with Blink Charging to upgrade its electric vehicle charging network. The work replaced older units and added capacity at three municipal sites.
Crews installed 19 DC fast chargers with 28 ports and three Level 2 stations with six ports at the Centennial Plaza Parking Lot, the Downtown Transit Center, and the City’s Corporation Yard. Blink also provided site preparation, installation, and maintenance services.
Federal funds covered 80 percent of the cost through the Federal Transit Administration, with the remaining 20 percent provided by Local Transportation Funds. Officials said the new chargers will serve both public demand and the city’s electric transit fleet.
