Port Canaveral is advancing a $95 million modernization of Cruise Terminal 10 as it prepares for larger cruise vessels entering service later this decade. The project will increase passenger handling capacity and upgrade terminal infrastructure to support ships carrying up to 6,700 passengers.
The Canaveral Port Authority expects to complete the project by November 2027. Final design work is scheduled for completion this summer, with construction expected to begin shortly afterward. The authority recently approved a $23 million contract package for PCL Construction Services to carry out a portion of the work.
The upgrade will reconfigure key passenger processing areas and improve operational efficiency throughout the terminal. The expanded terminal is being developed to accommodate MSC World Atlantic, a new cruise vessel scheduled to begin operating from Port Canaveral in late 2027.
The project is part of the port’s broader $912 million capital improvement program, which includes investments in cruise facilities, parking infrastructure, and other port assets to support continued passenger growth.
