Philadelphia has selected PositivEnergy to deploy approximately 435 public EV charging ports across the city, expanding access to charging infrastructure for residents, commuters, and visitors.

The deployment will include a mix of DC fast chargers and Level 2 charging stations. The project supports the city’s broader transportation electrification strategy and aims to increase charging availability across multiple neighborhoods.

PositivEnergy will develop, install, and operate the charging network under its Charging-as-a-Service model. The company uses a site-selection platform to identify locations with strong utilization potential and plans charging infrastructure accordingly. The Philadelphia deployment will significantly expand PositivEnergy’s existing portfolio.

The project adds to Philadelphia’s ongoing efforts to expand public charging capacity as electric vehicle adoption continues to grow. Increased charging availability remains a key requirement for supporting both private EV ownership and commercial fleet electrification.
