Pennsylvania has allocated more than $47 million to 54 multimodal transportation projects across 34 counties through the Multimodal Transportation Fund. The projects include roadway reconstruction, bridge replacement, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, traffic signal upgrades, and ADA-compliant improvements.

The funding supports locally owned transportation assets, including municipal roads, bridges, intersections, sidewalks, and multimodal corridors. Several awards target safety improvements, structural rehabilitation, drainage upgrades, and access improvements for pedestrians and cyclists.

The Commonwealth is funding the projects through the Multimodal Transportation Fund. Municipal governments, counties, school districts, public agencies, and private entities will implement the projects. PennDOT evaluated and selected projects based on safety outcomes, economic conditions, and technical feasibility.
