New York State has completed three highway projects on the New York State Thruway (I-90) in Central New York. The combined investment totals $17.4 million and includes pavement work, a bridge replacement, and a bridge rehabilitation.
A $6 million pavement improvement project in Seneca and Ontario Counties finished in November. Crews completed full- and partial-depth pavement repairs along a 20-mile segment between exits 42 and 44. Work also included shoulder reconstruction, new reflective striping, and milled-in audible delineators. Seneca Stone Corporation delivered the project.
A $7.5 million project replaced the Townline Road bridge over I-90 in DeWitt and Salina. The new structure provides increased vertical clearances and updated safety features. Work included new guiderail, approach reconstruction, drainage upgrades, and a snow fence. Tioga Construction Company performed the work.
A $3.9 million project rehabilitated the Interchange 34A ramp bridge in Onondaga County. The project included deck repairs, substructure work, new waterproofing, new joints, and asphalt resurfacing on ramp lanes and shoulders. Slate Hill Constructors delivered the rehabilitation.
