The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has partnered with low-cost airline Viva Aerobus to expand international air service. The airline will operate nonstop flights between New York and Mexico City and Monterrey.

The project forms part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion redevelopment of JFK Airport. The New Terminal One will serve as a central international gateway within the broader airport modernization program.

The terminal development includes construction of a new international facility, upgrades to existing terminals, a new ground transportation center, and redesigned roadway infrastructure. The New Terminal One will incorporate advanced technology, modern passenger amenities, and sustainable design features.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is overseeing the airport transformation program. The New Terminal One consortium is developing and operating the terminal in coordination with airline partners. The terminal is scheduled to open its first gates in 2026.
