Fargo Airport Authority will open a new $105 million concourse at Hector International Airport on February 10, expanding passenger capacity and gate availability.
The 73,000-square-foot concourse adds four new gates and forms part of a broader terminal expansion and modernization program. The project increases seating capacity, improves passenger circulation, and supports larger aircraft operations at the airport.
The concourse represents one component of a terminal redevelopment program with a total cost exceeding $200 million. The broader program includes a $47 million parking garage, a climate-controlled skywalk connecting the garage to the terminal, expanded aircraft apron space, and a deicing fluid containment system. Local, state, and federal sources are funding the program, with the airport planning to issue up to $30 million in revenue bonds to complete financing.
Construction on the terminal expansion began in 2024. The parking garage opened in August 2025, and the skywalk is scheduled to open later this year. Work on the remaining terminal remodel is expected to conclude in 2027. The expanded concourse is designed to accommodate future growth in passenger traffic and airline service while improving operational efficiency and security screening capacity.
