Comcast began construction on a broadband expansion project in Kings County, California, to connect more than 4,000 homes and businesses by late 2026.

The company held a groundbreaking ceremony in Lemoore with the County of Kings. The project uses a $21 million Federal Funding Account grant from the California Public Utilities Commission and private Comcast funding.

Comcast has invested over $4 billion in California’s broadband infrastructure during the past three years. The Kings County project extends that statewide investment to rural communities.

The company also contributed $10,000 to the Kings Community Action Organization to expand digital access and inclusion programs for local residents.
