Clean Harbors has received $110 million in contracts to expand PFAS water filtration systems at Joint Base Pearl Harbor–Hickam (JBPHH) in Hawaii. The work will proceed over the next three years in partnership with government logistics supplier V2X.
The project will enlarge existing regenerative carbon filtration and resin treatment units first deployed at the base in 2022. Clean Harbors will filter about 4.2 million gallons of water per day once the expanded system is fully operational. The company will continue to support system design, installation, and operations in coordination with V2X and the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command.
The expanded system will treat groundwater affected by PFAS contamination and support the base’s potable water supply. Contract activities include installation of additional filtration units, ongoing maintenance, and operational management.
