Amtrak has launched improvement and repair projects at its Latrobe and Greensburg stations in western Pennsylvania. Amtrak has not yet released cost estimates for either project.

Work at Latrobe station is scheduled to begin later this year. Amtrak will upgrade the station by:

  • Creating an accessible walkway from the public right-of-way to the parking, shelter, and platform
  • Designating accessible parking and constructing an ADA-compliant ramp
  • Renovating the shelter entrance
  • Pouring new concrete stairs and canopy foundations
  • Resurfacing, striping, and modifying the parking lot
  • Updating station signage
