AECOM has been awarded a $27 million contract by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to support the modernization of the state’s intercity passenger rail services. Under this agreement, AECOM will provide planning, environmental, and engineering services to enhance rail operations across California, improving efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability.
The project is part of Caltrans’ broader efforts to expand and upgrade rail services, ensuring better connectivity between urban and rural regions. AECOM’s expertise will be used to develop innovative solutions for rail infrastructure improvements, including station upgrades, track enhancements, and sustainable transportation initiatives.
