The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) has selected Parsons Corporation as lead designer for the $409 million Roosevelt Bridge Replacement Project over Lake Texoma. The project will replace the existing bridge connecting Bryan and Marshall Counties.
The project involves construction of a new two-mile-long, 63-span bridge across Lake Texoma. The structure will include deep foundation elements extending approximately 150 feet below the lake surface. The project will be delivered in two phases to maintain traffic flow during construction.
ODOT has awarded the construction contract to a joint venture between Zachry Construction and Traylor Brothers Construction. Parsons will lead design services for the project, supporting engineering and technical delivery. The project received $124 million in federal funding in 2024, with additional funding provided by the State of Oklahoma. The bridge replacement will modernize a structure originally built in 1945 and address long-term safety and resilience needs..
The project will improve regional connectivity for residents, freight, and commercial traffic. It will enhance safety, support reliable transportation across Lake Texoma, and extend the operational life of a critical infrastructure asset.
