Norfolk Southern has entered into a new short line partnership to expand freight capacity and improve local rail service in metro Atlanta. The company will lease its Doraville rail corridor and transload terminal to Jaguar Transport Holdings, which will assume local operations.
The agreement covers rail infrastructure and a transload facility serving industrial and logistics customers in northeast Atlanta. Jaguar Transport Holdings will provide switching services and integrate operations with the existing transload terminal to support both rail-served and truck-to-rail freight movement.
As part of the project, Jaguar will invest in infrastructure upgrades, including yard capacity expansion and operational improvements to accommodate future freight demand. The partnership aims to improve first- and last-mile connectivity, increase network efficiency, and support freight growth in the Atlanta region.
