Veolia North America has entered into a five-year agreement with the City of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to operate and maintain the city’s wastewater treatment plant and 21 associated pump stations. The contract, which began May 1, 2025, was approved unanimously by the Sapulpa City Council on April 21. It is renewable for up to three additional five-year terms.
The Sapulpa wastewater system currently treats an average of 3.5 million gallons of wastewater per day, with a maximum capacity of 7 million gallons. Under the agreement, Veolia will also provide advisory support for capital planning and improvements to the facility.
The project supports Sapulpa’s long-term environmental and infrastructure resilience goals in a region subject to drought and extreme weather events. Veolia’s local presence in Central Oklahoma and national operational capacity help ensure stable and compliant wastewater treatment for the city’s 23,000 residents.
