The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Build America Bureau has released a new Notice of Funding Opportunity under the Regional Infrastructure Accelerators (RIA) Program, offering up to 20 million dollars in no-match grants to qualified applicants. The funding will support technical assistance, project planning, and innovative delivery approaches, including public-private partnerships.
Authorized under the FAST Act of 2015, the RIA Program helps regional entities develop governance frameworks, conduct feasibility studies, and evaluate financing strategies for investment-ready infrastructure. Applicants must serve a defined geographic area and demonstrate capacity to advance projects eligible for TIFIA or RRIF financing.
Previous rounds have supported 24 accelerators nationwide.
