Strata-G Solutions and Aleut Real Estate will lead the construction of a $32.7 million maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Pryor Field Regional Airport in Limestone County, Alabama. The project is designed to support large aircraft such as the C-130 and will serve both U.S. Department of Defense and commercial aviation clients.
The hangar will create 50 aviation-related jobs within three years and is expected to be completed by early 2027. Construction will be led by Fite Building Company, with groundbreaking anticipated in the coming months. The facility supports growing aerospace and defense activity in the Huntsville region and aligns with the airport’s southwest expansion plan.
Aleut Real Estate has secured a ground lease for the site—its first development project in Alabama—while Huntsville-based Strata-G, a subsidiary of Aleut, will oversee project operations. Fite Building Company has been selected as the design-build contractor.
The Limestone County Commission approved a local incentive package, including $664,000 in non-educational sales and use tax savings during construction and a 10-year property tax abatement valued at $1.04 million. Additionally, the State of Alabama is contributing $776,400 for roadway improvements and infrastructure near the project site.
