New York State has reopened its Municipal Infrastructure Program, making up to $36 million available for locally controlled broadband infrastructure projects statewide. The funding operates through the state’s ConnectALL broadband initiative.

ConnectALL will administer the funding on a rolling basis through April 30. The program supports projects that connect unserved and underserved communities using open-access and publicly owned broadband infrastructure. All funded projects must reach substantial completion by December 31, 2026.

Eligible uses include last-mile broadband construction, middle-mile fiber connections to data centers or internet exchange points, and acquisition of existing infrastructure assets that improve service delivery. Individual awards are expected to remain below $10 million.

The Municipal Infrastructure Program has previously allocated $268 million to active projects across 24 counties. Those projects include more than 2,300 miles of new fiber and 68 wireless hubs serving over 96,000 homes and businesses.
