National Grid Renewables has begun onsite construction at its Sycamore Creek Solar Project in Crawford County, Ohio. The project is expected to generate 117 MW of clean energy for the PJM power market and is expected to bring $27 million in direct economic benefits to the local community.

During construction, the Sycamore Creek project will create around 160 jobs. Once operational, it is projected to generate $16 million in new tax revenue for Crawford County and local municipalities, school districts, and emergency services.

National Grid Renewables has partnered with Kiewit Power Constructors as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor, continuing a successful collaboration from four prior solar projects in Ohio.

With Sycamore Creek, National Grid Renewables’ Ohio portfolio will exceed 675 MW in combined construction and operational capacity. The project builds on the success of Yellowbud Solar, which began operations in late 2023, and ongoing developments at Dodson Creek Solar, Ross County Solar, and Fayette Solar.
