The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York has announced the commencement of station renovation work at three Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line stations in the Bronx: Williams Bridge, Woodlawn, and Botanical Garden. This work is set to begin in July as part of a broader strategic initiative to enhance service reliability, accessibility, and the overall passenger experience across the entire Metro-North network.

To minimize disruption to commuters, work will be undertaken concurrently at all three stations. Necessary long-term track outages will be supported by innovative construction phasing techniques to ensure service continuity throughout the project duration. Temporary platforms, staircases, and ramps may be strategically deployed to guarantee that boarding remains possible during all construction phases. Furthermore, seamless execution will be facilitated through close coordination with the City of New York, Con Edison, and the Department of Environmental Protection, particularly concerning utilities relocation.
