The Minnesota Department of Transportation has awarded Lunda Construction Company a $67.2 million contract for the I-94 and I-394 Interchange Project in Minneapolis. The project will repair and maintain 34 bridges and ramps along the corridors between downtown Minneapolis and Highway 100.
Scope of work includes deck replacement on the Penn Avenue bridge over I-394, maintenance of the Dunwoody Boulevard ramp, and other improvements to ramps and bridges on I-394. The work aims to enhance structural integrity and extend the service life of aging transportation infrastructure in a high-traffic urban corridor.
Construction is scheduled to begin in July 2025, with substantial completion expected by summer 2027. The project is fully publicly funded.
