King County Metro Transit has been awarded a $79.7 million grant from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to support the construction of the RapidRide I Line. The funding has been provided through the Capital Investment Grants (CIG) program and will contribute to the estimated $168.5 million project aimed at enhancing transit services in the region.
The RapidRide I Line is expected to improve travel times, increase reliability, and expand access to high-frequency bus service.
