The King County Metro Transit Department (King Country Metro), the public transit authority of King County, Washington, has opened four new bus stops as part of Washington State’s SR 520 Montlake Lid Project. The new stops provide easier connections for riders traveling between the Central District, East Capitol Hill, Montlake, and the Eastside. The routes serving these stops extend from the University District to the following destinations:  Capitol Hill (Route 43), Central District and Mount Baker (Route 48), Kirkland Transit Center and Totem Lake Transit Center (Route 255), Bellevue and Issaquah (Route 271 and 556), and Redmond (Route 542). King County Metro notes that approximately 13,500 riders travel on these routes daily.
