A joint venture (JV) of OmniTRAX and Coast Belle Rail Corporation has acquired the Santa Maria Valley Railroad in California.

Coast Belle Rail Corporation had been the local owner of the 114-year-old Santa Maria Railroad for the past two decades. The railway system comprises 14.6 miles of mainline track that interchanges with the Union Pacific Railroad in Guadalupe, serving commercial and commodity customers in the Santa Maria Valley. The system also includes numerous sidings and branches that provide capacity for future growth.

The partnership is expected to enhance the region’s logistics and transport sector, utilizing OmniTRAX’s expertise in operating 29 railways that connect to ports and industrial parks across the United States. By combining rail and real estate knowledge, OmniTrax continues to expand its role in developing major industrial hubs from California to Georgia.
