Ezee Fiber has begun expanding its fiber-to-the-premises network into the Metro Detroit area, marking the company’s first large-scale buildout in Michigan.
The project will extend a new underground and aerial fiber network to residential and business customers across Wayne, Macomb, Oakland, Washtenaw, Genesee, St. Clair, Monroe, and Livingston counties. Construction is scheduled to begin in late February 2026, with initial customer installations expected to start in the second quarter of 2026.
The expansion will deploy a fully fiber-based network designed to support multi-gigabit internet service. Residential customers will have access to symmetrical speeds of up to 8 gigabits per second, while business customers will be able to connect to higher-capacity enterprise services.
The buildout relies on private investment by Ezee Fiber.
