Emirates Global Aluminium has selected Oklahoma as the preferred site for a $4 billion primary aluminum facility—the first to be built in the United States in nearly half a century. The project will create 1,000 direct jobs and 1,800 indirect jobs, positioning Oklahoma as a strategic hub for aluminum production and advanced manufacturing.

The facility will span more than 350 acres at the Tulsa Port of Inola, an industrial site with barge, rail, and highway access. Once operational, it will become the largest aluminum production plant in the country, producing billets, high-purity aluminum, sheet ingots, and foundry alloys.

Emirates Global Aluminium announced the project following a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Governor Kevin Stitt in April 2025. The investment is subject to legislative approval of the agreement’s terms. EGA’s presence at the port is expected to boost waterway traffic, expand regional infrastructure, and increase tax revenues that will support local school and utility improvements.
