Dominion Energy Virginia (DEV) has issued a request for proposals for new solar, onshore wind, and energy storage projects across Virginia. The company is seeking both acquisitions and power purchase agreements (PPAs) to expand renewable generation and meet future energy demand.

The solicitation covers five categories of new development assets: standalone solar, solar paired with storage, onshore wind, wind paired with storage, and standalone energy storage. Dominion will consider both utility-scale projects above 3 MW and distributed facilities of 3 MW or less located within its service territory. The company encourages proposals on previously developed sites such as landfills and industrial properties.

Through this initiative, DEV aims to support the Virginia Clean Economy Act and its Integrated Resource Plan, which outlines a long-term goal of 21.1 GW of new clean energy capacity over the next 15 years. The company is also seeking rooftop and carport solar installations on commercial, industrial, and government-owned buildings in urban centers to help reduce grid load.

Interested bidders must submit an Intent to Bid Form and a Confidentiality Agreement to participate. For acquisitions, proposals are accepted on a continuous basis. For PPAs, registration is required ahead of the next solicitation round.
